Behind BLMA Models
BLMA Models was founded with the purpose of providing the most innovative HO, N, and Z Scale
accessories to the model railroad community. By doing so, modelers can create the most realistic
locomotives and layouts possible. From our start in 2000, our vision and focus remains on products
of superior quality and originality.
Mission Statement:
Discover, design, and produce model railroading related products of unrivaled quality and originality,
utilizing a number of innovative manufacturing, managing, and marketing tactics.
Profile:
We are a forerunner in providing ground-breaking HO, N, and Z Scale accessories to the model
railroad community. We currently list over one hundred products in our continually expanding catalog.
With five distributors, BLMA Models products are available at literally any model railroad dealer,
and a growing number of international suppliers.
Strategy:
We work closely with our customers to build strong, lasting relationships that not only allow for
outstanding customer service, but facilitate our growth as a company. By listening to your thoughts
and suggestions, we can only continue to improve as a company.
Craig Martyn
Craig Martyn is the President of BLMA Models, a company he founded in 2000. Now at age 26, he
recently graduated from Cal State University Fullerton with a major in Advertising and a Minor in
Business Administration.
Craig's love of model trains started at an early age as he quickly took to N Scale. More often than
not, he was unable to locate the kinds of accurate accessories he wanted in order to make his
locomotives and layouts as realistic as possible. This lack of numerous products created a niche
that Craig worked hard to fill.
After learning the aspects of the model railroad industry by working for several different companies,
he established BLMA Models. By having all products designed and tested in house, the company is able
to manufacture products that make ultimate realism in model railroading possible.
Craig keeps a constant influence over all aspects of BLMA Models. From CAD designing to bookkeeping,
from advertising to public relations, he also continues to participate in the hobby he loves. Craig
is a member of the Orange County N-Gineers, a modular N-Track club located in Orange County, California.
Robb Fisher
Robb Fisher is the principal design engineer for BLMA Models and has been with the company since
2005. A lifelong resident of Virginia, Robb's love of trains runs deep in the surrounding country.
As a student at Virginia Tech, Robb studied mechanical engineering with an emphasis on modern,
3D CAD for manufacturing. Robb's comprehensive knowledge of prototype and model trains, combined
with his design expertise, has proven a successful combination in developing the majority of
BLMA's products.
In his spare time, Robb enjoys spending time with his son, Lucas - perhaps a future train enthusiast
as well. Robb is an active member of the N&W Historical Society, the Lynchburg Area N Scalers, and
avid N Scale modeler.
Looking forward, Robb is committed to continually pushing model train development to the highest
quality and accuracy standards.
