Located near many rail yards, Radio Antenna Towers are a vital link between train crews, dispatchers and other yard personnel. Standing at roughly 70 scale feet tall  (that's 5"!) and including all of the antenna's featured on the prototype, this stainless steel kit will add considerable depth to any rail yard or mainline scene. The prototype for this model is located in Southern California next to Union Pacific's (ex-Southern Pacific) Aurunt railyard.  This product will fit perfectly with our #607 Large Electrical Box. Lighting: Richmond Controls has lighting products for radio towers available at:  www.richmondcontrols.com Scale:  N Scale   Catalog:  608   Price:  $19.95 Quantity:  Installation Instructions 1.Remove the etched parts with a sharp hobby knife (be careful and use eye protection!).  Reference the bottom of the tower sections by locating the “BLMA” etched at the bottom.   2.Begin assembly by locating the base (triangular part with notched corners) and bending the three sides down so the half-etched fold lines are on the inside of the bend.  Secure with ‘CA’ glue. 3.Next, gently fold the tower sides to create a vertical triangle (note that the rivet detail should face outward).  Secure with ‘CA’ glue. 4.Place the tower mounting tabs into the base (base folded in step #2).  Glue the mounting tabs from inside the base. 5.At this point, you should have the tower assembled and fastened to the triangular base with glue. 6.Locate the ladders and fold their protruding mounting tabs perpendicular to the ladder; note the corresponding mounting holes on the tower.  For reference, the ladder should fit flush with the top of the tower when installed. 7.Lastly, locate the two different types of antennas provided in this kit (one style contains two parts for one assembly).  Both antenna styles have mounting arms attached to them that correspond with the truss structure of the tower.  Because every tower has the antennas mounted in a unique configuration, please consult the provided photo to aid you in mounting the antennas on your tower.
